Where to Stay

There are lots of great places to stay in and around Avignon, from charming hotels to cozy rental properties. We’ve put together a few recommendations below to help with your planning.

If you’re not planning to rent a car, we suggest staying in or near the city center—you’ll be able to walk to restaurants, shops, and historic spots, and it’s also where most tours and day trips depart from.

If you'd rather be out among the vineyards, lavender fields, and hilltop villages, the countryside has some beautiful options too. Just keep in mind you’ll definitely need a rental car to get around out there.

Le Bristol

We’re currently working with Hôtel Le Bristol to secure a room block for our guests. While pricing for 2026 hasn’t been finalized yet, we expect rates to be around $175 per night. Rooms aren’t available to book at the moment, but we’ll update this page as soon as they are.

Le Bristol is a convenient option, located very close to the Avignon Centre train station. For those traveling with children, the hotel offers triple and quadruple rooms, making it a great choice for families.

If you prefer to stay elsewhere in the area, feel free to do so—just keep in mind that we’re planning to arrange wedding day shuttle pickups near Le Bristol.

Rental Properties

If you’re extending your trip or traveling with a group and looking for a bit more space, consider renting an apartment, a mas, or a gîte—traditional countryside homes that offer a relaxed, local experience. We’ve linked a few of our favorites below, listed from smallest to largest.

Please note that many of these properties have minimum stay requirements of 6 or 7 nights, so depending on your itinerary, some may not be a fit. Also, since June is peak lavender season in Provence, rentals tend to book up early, so we recommend securing your accommodations well in advance.
